Being one of the most beautiful and famous women in the world can be intimidating. Charlize Theron, 43, finds it hard to find the right partner. The South African actress, who won the Oscar for Monster, joked about her “disappointing” sentimental situation with Entertainment Tonight, during the CinemaCon in Las Vegas.
“I’ve been single for 10 years, wooing me wouldn’t be a gamble. I just need someone to come forward. I’m incredibly helpful! I said it very clearly,” she said, laughing, during a promotion of her new film, Long Shot.
Her ideas are clear: she is interested only in those who have the courage to ask her out.
In the past Charlize has had a long relationship with Stuart Townsend, known from the set of Trapped. They broke up in 2010. Few months ago there were rumors of a “certain closeness” between her and Brad Pitt but those have faded.
Being a parent doesn’t make things simper for Charlize: “Shortly after the arrival of my second child I was in that dark tunnel – every mother will understand – when you wake up every two hours, you are deprived of sleep, and you have another child who needs you, it’s a little too much.”
