12 Ways You’re Making Life Harder Than It Has To Be

Life is not something that should always be an uphill battle, sometimes we struggle for unnecessary reasons. That is something that needs to stop.

As humans, we are bound to go through hard times but if you are constantly going through troubles each and every day there may be a problem with you. (Not the world around you or the people in your life.) How do you look at your surroundings and what exactly do you take in from them? Stop making life harder than it has to be!

Below you will find a list of the 12 ways that you might be making your life harder than it has to be. If you are doing these things, STOP! Once you begin to look at things from a new perspective happiness and contentment will fall into place.

1. You take too much.

You are one of those people who is always looking for what they can gain in others. This is no way to live, if you continue to carry on like this you will never find peace. You will forever be jealous of everyone else.

2. You don’t give enough.

No, I don’t mean you have to give everything you have or even half for that matter but give something back to those who give to you. Don’t be a ‘taker.’ Doing good in this world really makes people feel great, making a difference in the world also makes a difference inside of you. Don’t be self-absorbed.

3. You refuse to let go.

Happiness is something you have to work for, it is not something handed to you on a silver platter. If you need to get out of a bad relationship or come to terms with the death of someone you cared for deeply, do it. Do whatever it takes to get yourself through it and let go.

4. You compare your life to the lives of others.

This is your life and that is their life. If you are envious of someone else work hard to achieve what they have. Comparing your life to someone else’s is simply wasting time. You are not that person, appreciate your life and if you want to make it better, go for it.

5. You are not bold enough.

You never take risks, at all. When you come across a situation in which you have to risk something you freeze up, stop freezing up! Take risks, whether you lose or not they add up. In the end, you will be glad you took them.

6. You are too offended.

You let things in this world offend you far too often. Stop letting things get under your skin. Have you ever stopped to think that maybe the reason your friend never texted you back was that he or she was busy and forgot? It really happens sometimes.

7. You think the world revolves around you.

I have some harsh truth for you honey, your shit stinks too. Things happen that we have no control over and you need to understand that. There are many people in this world who have it worse off than you. You are not the center of the Universe and yes, other people are important too.

8. You always jump to the worst possible outcome.

You think far too negatively for your own good. Your sore throat might not be cancer, your oversleeping is not going to get your house burned down, and just because you misplaced your keys doesn’t mean your car will get stolen. Calm down, breathe, and think positively.

9. Your expectations are unrealistic.

You are setting yourself up for disappointment. The shortcomings of others are not always their fault sometimes it is you who should be to blame. If you set your expectations to an unrealistic level happiness will never find you.

10. You wait for signs.

Sometimes there is no sign. You have to go out and do things on your own. Making your own decisions is not that hard, the Universe doesn’t have to send you an ’11:11′ everytime you want to leave the house.

11. You let other people waste your time.

You don’t treasure your time as you should. Stop wasting your time on people who don’t matter or take advantage of you. Your time is precious and in this world, we are not promised tomorrow. Only give your time to those who respect and deserve it.

12. You don’t feel enough.

How do you expect to be happy when you have cut yourself off from feeling anything at all? Let go of your mistakes and let go of anything that might be holding you back. Make changes in your life so that your future will shine as bright as you should.

Your life is important and it should be treated as so. There is no sense in going through this life holding grudges and letting people take advantage of you. You are worth so much more than you give yourself credit for and deserve to be happy. Stop letting stupid things get in the way of where you need to be in this life.
